The Sunken Harbor Club

The award-winning bar that's never existed—
until now.

The Sunken Harbor Club started in 2012 as a weekly "tiki" party at Fort Defiance in Red Hook, Brooklyn, owned by partner St. John Frizell. Despite the fact that the Club only existed in our imagination (and only on Thursdays), it was named "Brooklyn's Best Tiki Bar" by The L Magazine, and we were named the "Kings of Tiki" at the NYC Wine & Food Festival.

Tucked away on the second floor of Gage & Tollner, the Sunken Harbor Club will become a reality: an intimate, clubby cocktail bar with a tropical vibe, perfect for a post-work Mai Tai, a quick drink before a celebratory dinner downstairs, or a discreet rendezvous à deux. Frizell is the world's leading expert on the globetrotting American cocktail writer Charles H. Baker, Jr., whose captivating tales of drinking around the world in the 20s and 30s will inform every aspect of the menu.

The Club will be open five nights a week, and will adjoin and serve as an additional service bar for the two private dining rooms.
